As a workaround, they had resorted to running two shifts with four employees each, manually labeling every tube to keep up with demand. This workaround not only required extra manpower but also slowed down their production output, limiting overall efficiency and potential profitability.
To solve this, I brought in our equipment specialist to evaluate the situation. They quickly identified the limitations of the current setup and got to work on a custom solution. Our specialist re-engineered the machine’s gluing system, making critical adjustments that allowed it to accommodate tubes of all sizes. Additionally, we upgraded their adhesive to a high-tack formula that bonded more quickly, allowing the machine to operate at a significantly faster pace than before.
With these modifications, the customer now has a solution that delivers the same output in one-third of the time it took to hand-label. This increase in efficiency has not only improved their production capacity but has also reduced labor costs and allowed them to focus more on sales and expansion. With the time saved, they can meet the growing demands of their clients and expand their reach in the market—resulting in a notable boost to their bottom line.
