A few years ago, a large cosmetics manufacturer approached HAR for assistance in optimizing a small part of their production process. Upon arriving at their facility, I was asked to assess their entire operation to identify areas for potential improvement. After a detailed evaluation, we decided to test an alternative adhesive solution using ITW Dynatec’s ADS1 DynaFill system. This highly reliable adhesive equipment innovation is renowned for significantly reducing labor costs and downtime for manufacturers.
The sample run was a success, and the manufacturer was so impressed with the results that they conducted several on-site trials. Pleased with the performance, they ultimately decided to purchase around 20 additional ADS1 DynaFill systems.
With this switch, production rates increased, and the likelihood of human error was greatly minimized.
Months later, I returned to check on the systems and ensure everything was running smoothly. During my visit, the manufacturer mentioned ongoing issues with their Nordson hot melt machines used for a different product line. Upon inspecting the equipment, I found the Nordson glue applicators were malfunctioning, causing adhesive to string and drool. The problem had persisted for some time, and they hadn’t received the support they needed from Nordson.
After understanding their requirements, HAR Adhesives recommended trialing an ITW Dynatec BF Applicator. Not only did the new applicator perform significantly better, but we were also able to retrofit it to work with their existing Nordson machines. The issue was resolved, and the manufacturer’s production was back on track.
Thanks to our innovative solutions and ongoing support, our relationship with this manufacturer has flourished. Over time, they have chosen to replace their Nordson hot melt machines with ITW Dynatec equipment.
